Coastal and Beaches:
Southern Beaches – these beaches form par t of the main beachfront area and include Humewood Beach, Kings Hobie and Pollock beaches. Kings beach is a magnificent long expanse of golden sand extending from the harbor wall to Humewood. The beach is ideal for swimming, body surfing, sunbathing and long beach walks. Hobie beach is one of PE’s main beaches and bustles with activity, both in and out the water during the summertime. The beach is preferred for swimming, sunbathing and body surfing. Pollock beach, or “The Pipe”, as it is known locally, is favoured by surfers because of its excellent waves and surfing opportunities.
Van Stadens – An extensive lagoon, tall dunes and river navigable by small boats forms part of the Van Stadens River Mouth Resort. Recreational facilities include pedal boats, sand-skiing and fishing. The Van Stadens Wild Flower Reserve is close by.
Art and craft outlets and shopping malls are all within close proximity.
